Animals in schools
The Department of Education and Training, Catholic Education Commission, and Association of Independent Schools have developed the website "Animals in Schools" to provide information to schools and their staff about what is required to comply with animal welfare legislation.
The website contains resources to help teachers, and includes a downloadable copy of the document "Animals in Schools: Animal Welfare Guidelines for Teachers" and notes on how to care for and handle species which are considered suitable for use in schools.
