Research procedures

From time to time

From time to time, guidelines are developed which detail ways in which the principles of the three R’s can be applied to common research procedures.  These guidelines may be developed by the Panel in response to a specific issue, such as the replacement of in vivo techniques in the production of monoclonal antibodies, or it may be that guidelines which have been developed by other organisations are adopted as with the UK guidelines on blood collection.
